East Coast Account Manager

Summary: 

In this role, the East Coast Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships within the assigned territory of the east coast. Target markets include Municipal wastewater biogas, food & beverage, commercial and industrial CHP, and Datacenters. This position involves extensive travel to meet with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions using the company's cutting-edge fuel cell technology.

 

 

Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic sales plan aimed at achieving and surpassing sales targets within the east coast region.
  • Foster and sustain robust customer relationships by deeply understanding and addressing their specific needs through personalized engagement and innovative solutions.
  • Identify and capitalize on high-potential business opportunities and prospective clients, ensuring thorough market analysis and strategic outreach.
  • Craft, present, and negotiate highly tailored sales proposals and contracts, ensuring alignment with client requirements and successful deal closures to consistently exceed sales quotas.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to design and execute targeted promotional campaigns that effectively drive demand and brand awareness across the east coast market.
  • Generate detailed and insightful sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing actionable intelligence and strategic recommendations.
  • Keep abreast of industry advancements, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to proactively identify emerging opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
  • Actively represent the company at key industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance visibility, forge strategic partnerships, and drive business growth.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the fuel cell industry or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the fuel cell technology and its applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the east coast region.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work physically in an office environment, lab environment and in the field, wearing required personal protective equipment as designated.
  • Walking/standing/working in an office, lab, fabrication area, or designated construction site environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent use of computers and other office equipment.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots as required in specific environments.
  • Travel:  35% domestic; possible occasional international travel
